This page brings together strength standards for Olympic lifts and their assistance exercises. Barbell power cleans, snatches, and clean and jerks combine strength with speed and technique. Barbell clean and presses, pulls, push presses, and overhead squats offer related ways to test your strength, each with its own movement requirements.

Use the sections below to find the lift or variation you performed. Choose from floor, hang, block, power, squat, split, and muscle variations, plus assistance exercises. You’ll also find conversion tools for estimating related lifts and comparison tools for comparing two performances against their own standards.

Choose an Olympic lift calculator by goal

Use standards to assess one lift, conversions to estimate a related lift, or comparisons to evaluate two completed performances.

Clean and Jerk, Power Clean, and Other Clean Standards

Choose the floor, hang, block, power, squat, split, muscle, or tempo variation you performed.

10 tools

Snatch Strength Standards

Match the start position and receiving style: full snatch, power snatch, hang, blocks, muscle, split, or a controlled first pull.

10 tools

Jerk and Push Press Strength Standards

Keep split, power, push, and squat jerks distinct. Select push press standards when the lift finishes with a press assisted by leg drive.

7 tools

Olympic Pull and Deadlift Assistance Standards

Compare clean pulls, snatch pulls, high pulls, deadlift variations, and the snatch-grip power shrug as separate assistance exercises.

14 tools

Overhead Squat, Snatch Balance, and Jerk Dip Standards

Evaluate receiving positions and jerk preparation with the exact exercise and technique you performed.

4 tools

Clean and Clean and Jerk Conversions

Estimate related clean, squat, pull, and deadlift performance from a source result. Follow the direction named on each tool.

18 tools

Snatch and Snatch Assistance Conversions

Translate between snatch variations, pulls, overhead squats, and related lifts. Treat each output as an estimate.

14 tools

Jerk and Push Press Conversions

Estimate a related jerk or press from the named source exercise, keeping receiving technique and leg drive distinct.

6 tools

Clean and Clean and Jerk Comparisons

Compare two completed performances using the separate strength standards for each clean or related lift.

18 tools

Snatch and Snatch Assistance Comparisons

Compare snatch variations, pulls, and overhead receiving exercises against their own standards.

15 tools

Jerk and Push Press Comparisons

Compare overhead techniques using each exercise’s standards rather than equating the weights lifted.

10 tools

Olympic Pull and Deadlift Comparisons

Compare explosive pulls and slower assistance lifts using their individual strength standards.

7 tools

Clean and Press Comparisons

Compare the clean and press assistance exercise with cleans, jerks, pulls, and snatch variations. A press and a jerk have different finish rules.

How to compare Olympic lifting performance

Match the start position, receiving technique, and weight entry before comparing results. These exercise calculators assess individual lifts, not a competition total.

Match the starting position

A floor start, hang start, and block start change the lift. Keep the starting height and any prescribed tempo consistent with the selected calculator.

Match the receiving technique

Power, full-squat, split, and muscle variations have different movement requirements. Use the tool for the variation you actually completed.

Separate pulls from completed lifts

Clean pulls, snatch pulls, and deadlift assistance exercises do not include the same catch and recovery as a completed clean or snatch.

Use conversions as estimates

A converted result is a reference for another lift. Skill, timing, mobility, and familiarity with that movement can change what you can actually perform.
