The boundary rule is lower-inclusive for the higher tier. A male ratio exactly at 0.70x is Advanced, and a female ratio exactly at 0.70x is Elite. That rule matters near the line because one pound can move a result from the lower badge to the higher badge.

If the set changes into power catch, deep catch, press-out after a failed turnover, split catch, jerk dip, or snatch pull without turnover, the math still produces a number, but the comparison no longer describes the Barbell Muscle Snatch.
