Army AFT Calculator

Use this Army AFT calculator to add your deadlift, hand-release push-up, sprint-drag-carry, plank and two-mile run scores. Enter your recorded results and choose the general or combat-specialty standard.

Each event must earn at least 60 points. The general test requires 300 total; the combat-specialty test requires 350 and uses male/combat scoring tables for everyone, adjusted for age.

You’ll get your total, each event score and a clear check of the event and overall requirements. The chart makes it easier to spot an event below its minimum before setting your next practice target.

What Your Army AFT Score Means

Start with the event minimums, then read the total. A high score in one event cannot make up for an event below 60 points. The maximum across all five events is 500.

Calculate above to see your result here.

Enter Results You Can Compare

Enter the deadlift weight in pounds, valid hand-release push-ups and the recorded times for sprint-drag-carry, plank and the two-mile run. Use minutes:seconds for whole-second times.

Choose your age on the test date and the standard assigned to your specialty. This calculator covers the standard five-event AFT, not a modified permanent-profile test or the separate Combat Field Test.

Compare Your Event Scores

Compare the five event scores on the same points scale. The minimum marker is 60 for every event; a bar below it identifies a requirement the total cannot offset.

The graph starts with the worked example below. Calculate above to replace it with your result; the table beneath the graph lists the same values.

How Your Army Points Are Calculated

Each event is scored from its applicable Army age table, then the five scores are added. Passing requires every event to reach 60 and the total to reach 300 for general scoring or 350 for combat-specialty scoring.

Test Rules and Official Sources

The scoring tables are dated June 1, 2025; the current Army policy determines the general and combat-specialty requirements.

This is a practice calculation. A test administrator decides which repetitions, attempts and event choices are valid. Save the date and inputs with your result when you want to compare another practice test.

What score passes the Army AFT?

General AFT needs at least 60 in all five events and 300 total. Combat-specialty AFT needs at least 60 in each event and 350 total. Both have a 500-point maximum.

Does the combat standard change female scoring?

Yes. The combat-specialty AFT uses the male/combat scoring column for every sex, with the applicable age category. Choose the standard assigned to your specialty.

Can I save and compare practice results?

Save on this device keeps the date, recorded event results, category, target and rule version in this browser. A later matching practice compares points and the gap to your current target. Endura account saving is separate. Illustrative examples cannot be saved.
