Use the full PFT calculator for an overall score and classification, or the pull-up tool for one event. For body composition, the waist-to-height tool checks those measurements, while the allowance tool accepts a measured body-fat percentage and existing PFT/CFT scores.

How to use the Marine Corps calculators

PFT scoring and body-composition requirements answer different questions. Follow the event and measurement instructions displayed by the specific calculator.

Start with the complete PFT

Use the full-test calculator to combine your PFT event results and check the classification shown for your entered details.

Separate ratio and body-fat checks

Waist-to-height ratio is a screening measure, not a body-fat estimate. The body-fat tool uses your measured body-fat percentage to check the displayed limit and allowance rules.

Use existing PFT and CFT scores

The body-fat allowance tool uses your existing Physical Fitness Test (PFT) and Combat Fitness Test (CFT) scores as inputs; it does not calculate a CFT score.
