Full Navy SEAL PST Calculator

Compare your full Navy SEAL PST results with the published entry thresholds: 12:30 swim, 50 push-ups, 50 curl-ups, 10 pull-ups, and 10:30 run. EPST shipping-bonus references are 9:30, 75, 75, 15, and 9:30.

Enter all five results from one practice session: 500-yard swim, two-minute push-ups, two-minute curl-ups, untimed strict pull-ups, and 1.5-mile run. Confirm the source protocol and rest intervals. Choose the entry minimum or EPST shipping-bonus benchmark, then save a dated practice result on this device.

This unofficial tool uses MILPERSMAN 1220-410 and the Navy recruiting EPST table. EPST is an enlisted shipping-bonus benchmark, not a verified competitive cutoff; no percentile, selection probability, or official point total is calculated.

How to use this calculator

Enter all five results from one practice session: 500-yard swim, two-minute push-ups, two-minute curl-ups, untimed strict pull-ups, and 1.5-mile run. Confirm the source protocol and rest intervals.

Choose the published entry minimum or EPST target to see how many more repetitions you need or how much faster your time needs to be. Enter the result you measured; the calculator cannot judge technique. Record the practice date before saving.

Published SEAL PST minimums and EPST shipping-bonus benchmarks

The SEAL candidate PST uses one set of thresholds here. There are no age, bodyweight, or sex adjustments in this published table. A minimum is an entry screening requirement; an EPST target is a separate enlisted shipping-bonus benchmark, not an admission guarantee.

Technique and rest by event

  1. 500-yard swim: Swim 500 yards using sidestroke or breaststroke without overhand recovery. Survival floating or treading is allowed; standing on the bottom or hanging on a wall or lane line is not. Rest 10 minutes before push-ups.
  2. Push-ups (2 minutes): Count valid push-ups in two minutes. Keep the body straight, lower until the elbows form a right angle and upper arms are parallel to the deck, then return to the starting position. Rest only in the up position. Rest 2 minutes before curl-ups.
  3. Curl-ups / sit-ups (2 minutes): Count valid curl-ups in two minutes. A partner holds the feet. Keep hands on chest or shoulders, bring elbows to the thighs within three inches below the knees, then lower until the shoulder blades touch the deck. Rest 2 minutes before pull-ups.
  4. Strict pull-ups (untimed): Start from a dead hang and pull until the chin is level with or above the bar. Do not kip or swing to assist the repetition. Rest only in the starting hanging position; there is no prescribed time limit in MILPERSMAN. Rest 10 minutes before the run.
  5. 1.5-mile run: Run 1.5 miles on a flat, solid surface in running shoes, T-shirt and shorts. Enter the measured total time. Final event.

No current official competitive cutoff or percentile model was verified. EPST (Elevated PST) is the separately published enlisted SEAL shipping-bonus benchmark. It is not an officer standard, selection guarantee, competitive percentile, or substitute for entry minimums.

Test order, technique and rest

The full PST is completed in this order: swim, push-ups, sit-ups, pull-ups, then run. Rest intervals are part of the protocol. Results from separate sessions do not establish a combined PST result.

This calculator accepts the 500-yard swim only. MILPERSMAN also states 450 meters for entry testing; the tool does not convert distances or assume the published 500-yard EPST target applies to another distance. Official administration and technique determine valid repetitions and results.

Understand your result and target gap

The full scorecard counts how many of the five published minimums and EPST targets are met. Every event minimum must be met, with the protocol confirmed, before the combined practice result is labeled minimums met. Results show event minimums and EPST targets; they do not predict selection, percentile, or fitness tier.

For repetitions, the page tells you how many more reps you need and shows 0 reps when you meet the target. For the swim and run, it tells you how much time you need to remove and shows 0:00 when you meet the target. Reaching an EPST target never compensates for missing another minimum.

Save and compare practice results

Save a dated result to this browser and device, then compare the next attempt with your previous saved result and its gap to your selected target. The device practice log is separate from an Endura account and does not synchronize between devices. When the account option is available, use it to save a separate result to your signed-in Endura account. Clearing browser storage removes the device log.

Copy or download your results to keep an independent record. A saved practice result is not an official test record.

The Navy recruiting page lists two minutes for pull-ups and a two-minute rest after them. MILPERSMAN 1220-410 states unlimited pull-up time and ten minutes before the run. This tool uses MILPERSMAN for protocol and entry minimums; Navy.com is used only for the separately labeled EPST target values. A numeric EPST comparison here does not certify bonus eligibility under recruiting administration.

Frequently asked questions

Is this an official Navy score?

No. It is an unofficial practice comparison with published requirements. Your authorized test administrator determines official results.

Does one event minimum mean I passed the PST?

No. A full PST requires every event minimum in the prescribed sequence, using valid technique and rest intervals.

Are EPST targets competitive standards?

The verified Navy recruiting table labels them Elevated PST shipping-bonus targets for enlisted SEAL recruits. This tool does not treat them as general competitive cutoffs or officer standards.

Does this calculate an official total score or percentile?

No verified official composite formula or percentile model was established for this build. The full calculator reports the count of minimums and EPST targets met.

Can I use a 500-meter swim?

No. The calculator uses the published 500-yard swim. The source protocol also describes 450 meters for the entry PST, but this tool does not convert distances or extend the 500-yard EPST target to a different distance.

Where are my saved results stored?

The device practice log stays in this browser and can be lost when browser storage is cleared. When available, the signed-in Endura account option saves a separate account result. Export a copy to keep your own record.
