FBI Push-Up Standards Calculator

Use this FBI push-up calculator to score your continuous push-up count against the current applicant PFT table. Choose the male or female scoring table and enter your valid repetitions.

The event is untimed. Count only repetitions with the required depth, a straight body and full arm extension; age does not change the score.

You’ll see your points, the minimum count and the next scoring step. The chart compares nearby repetition counts, so you can set a practice target without confusing one event score with a full PFT pass.

What Your FBI Push-Up Score Means

Your push-up points cover one of four FBI PFT events. The minimum is 1 point: 30 repetitions in the male table or 14 in the female table. A full pass also requires the other three event minimums and 10 total points.

Enter complete, continuous repetitions rather than a two-minute count. Use the official FBI demonstration to check depth, body position and full arm extension.

Choose the male or female table used for your test. Age has no effect on these scores, and the calculator does not determine applicant eligibility.

How Repetitions Change Your Score

Nearby repetition counts can share a score. The chart shows how many repetitions you need for the next score in your selected table.

The graph starts with the worked example below. Calculate above to replace it with your result; the table beneath the graph lists the same values.

How Your FBI Points Are Calculated

The calculator matches your repetition count to a score in the current FBI table. Scores run from −2 to 10; the table does not award −1 point. A score of 0 or −2 falls below the event minimum.

Test Rules and Official Sources

These are the current FBI applicant PFT web tables, not the older sit-up test. The official pages do not give an effective date.

This is a practice calculation. A test administrator decides which repetitions, attempts and event choices are valid. Save the date and inputs with your result when you want to compare another practice test.

How many push-ups do I need for the minimum FBI score?

30 valid push-ups in the male table or 14 in the female table earn the 1-point event minimum. A full PFT pass also requires at least 1 point in every other event and at least 10 points in total.

How many total points pass the current FBI PFT?

At least 10 total, with at least 1 point in every event. The current events are pull-ups/chin-ups, 300-meter sprint, push-ups and 1.5-mile run; legacy sit-up and 12-point rules do not apply here.

Can I save and compare practice results?

Save on this device keeps the date, recorded event results, category, target and rule version in this browser. A later matching practice compares points and the gap to your current target. Endura account saving is separate. Illustrative examples cannot be saved.
