How the Weighted Push-Up Hold Calculator Works
The calculator first compares the weight you added with your bodyweight. It then adjusts the result based on how long you held the Weighted Push-Up Hold. Pounds and kilograms are converted automatically, so you can use either unit.
For example, a 180 lb person holding 39.5 lb for 30 seconds scores 0.219x bodyweight. Holding the same weight longer raises the score, while holding it for less time lowers the score. Extra time can improve the score for up to 60 seconds; holding longer than that does not add more credit.
Your age and sex determine which strength standards your score is compared with. They do not change the score produced by the attempt itself.

Weighted Push-Up Hold Testing Rules
Assume rigid push-up plank, lower until elbows are about 90 degrees and chest is 2-5 cm above floor, stabilize vest and body, then time. During the attempt, keep chest in the accepted clearance band, elbows/shoulders fixed, trunk and legs rigid, hands/feet fixed, and vest stable.
Chest touches or rises outside band, elbow angle changes materially, hips sag/pike, knee contact, hand/foot movement, vest shift, assistance, or voluntary end. Labeled external weight of one snug evenly loaded vest; bodyweight is excluded. Two-side symmetric push-up hold.
