Leg Press (45° Sled) vs Hummer Tire Deadlift Strength Standards
Compare your leg press and hummer tire deadlift against strength standards for your sex and bodyweight. Enter 1–12 reps for estimated one-rep maxes, strength levels, next targets, priority.
First lift: total plates loaded on the 45-degree sled and 1–12 strict reps. Second lift: weight used and 1–12 strict reps. Pounds or kilograms. For the first exercise, keep both feet flat and approximately shoulder-width, descend until the thighs reach at least parallel to the platform without lifting the hips or rounding the lower back. For the second exercise, pull continuously to motionless full knee/hip extension with shoulders behind/in line with shaft; no hitch, thigh ramp, downward reversal, tire rebound, or backward lean. Heavier lift is not automatically the stronger one.

How Your Leg Press vs Hummer Tire Deadlift Result Is Calculated
Both lifts are scored independently first: estimated max, bodyweight-adjusted strength level, and progress toward the next level. Those ratings drive the comparison.
1. Estimate a one-rep max from each set
When the set contains one rep, the entered load is the estimate. For 2–12 reps, the calculator keeps the less aggressive of the two formula results.
- Epley: weight × (1 + reps ÷ 30)
- Brzycki: weight × 36 ÷ (37 − reps)
For the most useful Leg Press vs Hummer Tire Deadlift comparison, enter clean, difficult sets performed with the same technique and range of motion you use in training. Lower-rep sets usually require less extrapolation.
2. Find the 45-degree leg press strength level
The 45-degree leg press rating uses its sex-specific exercise standards. Reference targets at 190 lb for men and 150 lb for women are scaled to the entered bodyweight by reference target × (user bodyweight ÷ reference bodyweight) to the two-thirds power.
This adjustment expects larger lifters to move more weight, but it does not increase the target pound for pound with bodyweight.
3. Find the hummer tire deadlift strength level
For hummer tire deadlift, the individual exercise thresholds start from reference bodyweights of 190 lb for men and 150 lb for women. Exact-bodyweight targets use reference target × (user bodyweight ÷ reference bodyweight) to the two-thirds power.
This adjustment expects larger lifters to move more weight, but it does not increase the target pound for pound with bodyweight.
4. Compare the two results
Each max receives a level from Beginner through Elite. The lower-level lift becomes the priority. At matching levels, a priority appears only when one lift is at least 10 points farther from its next level; otherwise the result is Balanced.
The result identifies the lower standards rating, not its cause. Technique, fatigue, training history, and set quality can all affect the comparison. Age range is recorded anonymously but does not change these standards.
| Stage | What happens |
|---|---|
| Estimate each max | Use the entered weight for 1 rep; for 2–12 reps, keep the lower formula result. |
| Rate the leg press | Adjust 45-degree leg press targets to exact bodyweight with the two-thirds rule. |
| Rate the hummer tire deadlift | Use the exercise-specific estimated max and adjust targets to exact bodyweight with the two-thirds scaling rule. |
| Compare different levels | Name the lower-level lift as the priority. |
| Compare matching levels | Use Balanced unless the difference in progress toward the next level reaches 10 points. |
Use the calculator above to view both estimated maxes, strength levels, next targets, and the resulting priority or Balanced verdict.
How Men’s Leg Press and Hummer Tire Deadlift Standards Differ
What the men’s data shows:

Leg Press and Hummer Tire Deadlift Exercises Used by This Calculator
Compare like-for-like attempts by keeping the 45-degree leg press and hummer tire deadlift setup consistent with their individual rules. Use strict, repeatable Leg Press and Hummer Tire Deadlift tests that follow each exercise’s setup, range of motion, equipment, and load rules. Do not mix variations, assistance, partial range, momentum, or different load conventions.
Use a 45-degree plate-loaded sled leg press
Keep both feet flat and approximately shoulder-width, descend until the thighs reach at least parallel to the platform without lifting the hips or rounding the lower back, and press to controlled full knee extension. Do not enter a horizontal, vertical, selectorized, single-leg, high-foot, partial, bounced, or assisted press.
Use the Hummer Tire Deadlift setup and load convention
Use Arnold-style Ivanko configuration: specially designed straight bar 15.00 feet overall, weighted symmetrically with Hummer tire assemblies retaining rims. Supplemental calibrated plates may be secured symmetrically outside/inside tires as apparatus permits. Set shaft center exactly 15.00 inches (381.0 mm) above level floor at dead stop; lifter stands on floor. Verify actual total weight including bar, tires/rims, collars/adapters, plates; enter total, not tire rating/per-side/nominal mass. Conventional stance, hands outside legs. Double-overhand/hook/mixed grip or standard/figure-8 straps allowed; record straps. Deadlift suit/supportive briefs prohibited. Begin motionless with tires/supports stable. Pull continuously to motionless full knee/hip extension with shoulders behind/in line with shaft; no hitch, thigh ramp, downward reversal, tire rebound, or backward lean. Lower under control to full dead stop and reset. Whole reps 1–10. Belt, sleeves, wrist tape, chalk, shoes allowed.
