User unracks or sets the bar safely in a back-rack position, descends to the approved squat depth, sets both feet evenly, and starts timing once the hold is stable without rack or pin support. During the attempt, depth, foot pressure, torso position, knee position, and bar position remain controlled; the user does not rest on pins, straps, hands, rack, partner support, or a box.
Timing stops when the user stands up, loses depth, rests on support, shifts into a different position, loses bar control, contacts rack or pins for assistance, or ends the hold. Entered load is total external barbell load on the lifter, including bar and plates; it does not include bodyweight and does not represent total system load. Bilateral barbell hold; no side selector or summed-side behavior applies.
